Rural Roots. Brighter Futures.

Briar Telecommunications is building a dependable fixed-wireless network for the rural communities of Southeast Missouri.

By connecting our tower sites with high-capacity fiber and using modern wireless technology, we aim to provide fast, reliable internet where better connectivity is needed most.

More Choice. Greater Resilience.

Briar Telecommunications is being built in response to a problem we see across the rural communities we hope to serve: too few dependable internet options, limited competition, and networks that may rely on a single connection or provider.

Our goal is to introduce greater connection diversity and build a resilient network with high-capacity fiber-connected tower sites. By reducing single points of failure and planning for multiple network paths where possible, we aim to provide internet service that our communities can trust.

That mission is also shaped by our owner’s experience growing up in a household where money was tight and every expense mattered. It gives Briar a personal understanding of how important dependable and affordable internet can be for education, employment, healthcare, opportunity, and everyday life.

Connected by Community

We believe the communities we serve are made stronger by their differences. Briar is committed to welcoming people of every background and treating every customer with dignity, fairness, and respect.

More Than an Internet Connection

We want to build the kind of company our neighbors can count on—especially when life becomes difficult. As Briar grows, we hope to develop programs that help eligible customers remain connected during involuntary unemployment, financial hardship, or while living on a fixed income.

Our planned community commitments include:

  • Temporary internet-cost assistance following involuntary unemployment
  • Affordability programs for qualifying fixed-income households
  • Connectivity protection for families with school-age children
  • Discounted or complimentary service for local fire departments, ambulance districts, and law-enforcement facilities
  • No standard installation fee for residential service
  • Clear pricing without unnecessary bundles or surprise charges
  • Qualifying outage credits without making customers fight for them

These goals are part of the Briar Neighbor Promise: our commitment to build a reliable local network while treating the people we serve like neighbors—not account numbers.

Planned assistance programs will be introduced as funding and resources become available. Eligibility requirements and program terms will be published before enrollment begins.
